Boston Commission Approves 75 Affordable Units Across Six Welcome Home Boston Projects

BOSTON — January 29, 2025 — Boston's Public Facilities Commission cleared six affordable housing actions at its January 29 meeting, advancing 75 income-restricted homeownership units across Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan under the city's Welcome Home Boston program. Housing Development Officer Tiara Satchell presented five conveyances and one developer designation extension on behalf of Mayor's Office of Housing Interim Director Christina O'Keefe; Senior Housing Development Officer Antonio Leash presented a sixth. The commission approved unanimous conveyances to KZB Nottingham LLC, BNCLT 355 Park LLC, 34 Whale Street LLC, and 83 Wildwood LLC for purchase prices ranging from $100 to $400, and to Mass Vibe Homes LLC — backed by certified M/WBE firms Visionary Investors Building Equity LLC and Mass Construction Management Inc. — for $500 covering five Dorchester parcels. MTK Development LLC received a six-month extension on its developer designation for a Roxbury project, which will yield 18 affordable units with ground-floor retail on Blue Hill Avenue. Four of the six projects are targeted to begin construction between April and May 2025, while a seventh vote on a Dorchester conveyance to Norfolk Cape and LLC was tabled until further notice.
