Boston PFC Unanimously Extends Dorchester Affordable Housing Developer Designation Six Months

BOSTON — July 22, 2026 — Boston Public Facilities Commission extends developer designation for Dorchester affordable housing project. The two-member commission, chaired by Catherine Craven and joined by Commissioner Larry Moley, unanimously approved a six-month extension Tuesday of the tentative developer designation to the Boston Partnership for Community Reinvestment LLC for seven city-owned parcels in the Mount Bowdoin-Mallon neighborhood. Ann Conway, Housing Development Officer for the Department of Neighborhood Development, told the commission the extension would allow the development team to "finalize financing and permits" after COVID-related delays, while noting the team had revised building designs in response to community and DND feedback and had applied for all permits. If completed, the project would yield 10 affordable homeownership units and three affordable rental units, generate $4,000 in city maintenance savings, and dispose of parcels that have been in the city's inventory for as long as 37 years.
