The board, sitting with six members, one short of the seven typically seated, reminded applicants that five votes were required for approval, prompting both parties scheduled for the morning rediscussion block to request administrative deferrals rather than risk a failed vote. Attorney John Pulgini of Braintree secured a deferral for a property at 289 Cherokee Street in Mission Hill, continued to August 23 at 11:30 a.m. Attorney Ryan Spitz of Adams and Morancy won a deferral for 8284 Boston Street in South Boston, with a return date not fully captured in the record. Both votes were unanimous, with Chair Mark Fortune, and members Dong, Better, and Araujo recorded in support on each.
