BOSTON — Matignon Warriors defeat Fenway Panthers 44-42 in MIAA Girls North Division IV Sectional Finals at Tewksbury High. Senior Emma Foud hit two free throws with 3.6 seconds remaining to seal the victory after Fenway's Janiyah Gulley fouled out with her fourth personal foul, sending the Warriors to the championship game at TD Garden. Foud finished with 20 points and six assists and was named game MVP by the broadcast; her sophomore sister Olivia Foud added 15 points and 11 assists.

For Fenway, sophomore Kiana Armbrister recorded 17 points and 14 rebounds and Gulley added 11 points and 17 rebounds despite limited second-half scoring due to foul trouble. The win was a rematch of last year's sectional finals, which Fenway had won; head coach Joe DeSarcina told sideline reporter Michelle Fenelon that the difference this year is "so much heart — they fire so much passion for the game and for each other."
