The most significant action cleared a petition by Mahoney Development Group LLC for curb, sidewalk, and pedestrian ramp work tied to the conversion of 50 Congress Street from office to 169 residential units, with engineer James Owing of Howard Stein Hudson explaining that Article 32 groundwater overlay district requirements will require a basement stormwater tank feeding injection wells in the Exchange Place public right-of-way; a commissioner stipulated the approval should be conditioned on Architectural Access Board variance approval for the ramp work. The commission also approved a joint city Public Works and Transportation Department petition for a raised crosswalk at Marie Street and Mount Ida Road in Dorchester, responding to constituent requests for safe access to a city park, and cleared both a pedestrian easement acceptance and a specific-repair petition for a Fenway residential project at 65 to 69 Kilmarnock Street, where seven short-term bike racks were relocated off-site to near 125 Jersey Street at the Planning Department's direction.
