The commission also approved specific repairs for Dinosaur Milk LLC at 31 Milk Street contingent on sign-off from the Commission for Persons with Disabilities, and granted Verizon New England a location for new conduit on Byrd Street, Columbia Road, and Cedar Place in Dorchester. The headline new business item was a first presentation by Beth Israel Lahey Health, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Payette architecture on a proposed 300-bed, 450,000-square-foot cancer hospital at the Joslin Diabetes Center site in the Longwood Medical Area, requiring vertical discontinuances spanning Pilgrim Road and Brookline Avenue for two elevated hospital connectors; the team confirmed an appraisal has been submitted to city staff and will return for a public hearing October 9.
