Boston Public Facilities Commission Approves Seven Votes on Housing, Farms, and Schools

BOSTON — October 29, 2025 — Boston Public Facilities Commission clears seven votes on housing, land, and school repairs in one session. Chair Catherine Craven and Commissioner Larry Momoli voted unanimously on all items Wednesday, approving conveyances, contract amendments, and a recovered affordable condominium spanning Mattapan, Roxbury, the South End, and Dorchester. The Mayor's Office of Housing secured a $400 conveyance for six affordable homeownership units at 30-36 Mildred Avenue in Mattapan, a 36-month designation extension for a 28-unit mixed-use project at 40-50 Warren Street in Roxbury, ratification of a confirmatory deed and a $345,000 tentative buyer designation for a foreclosure-rescued artist-certified condo at 735 Harrison Avenue in the South End, and a $100 land transfer to Boston Farms Community Land Trust for an urban farm on Bird Street in Dorchester — a parcel that has sat in city inventory for more than 34 years and carries a $700,000 appraised value. The Public Facilities Department added two contract amendments totaling $285,000 to keep design and project management work moving at Gardner Pilot Academy and Linden Pilot School under a $10,961,779 MSBA Accelerated Repair Program award, with city council appropriation votes expected November 19 and December 3.
