The commission approved transferring care, custody, and control of the Lafayette Garage — a 1,029-space downtown facility generating close to $9 million annually — and the 175-space Sullivan Square lot from the Boston Transportation Department to the Boston Planning Department, with BTD's Brad Garrett assuring the panel that "the flow of funds will continue similar to as it now is working" and net revenue to the city's general fund will be unchanged. The Mayor's Office of Housing won approval for a $100 conveyance to Madison Park Development Corporation for 15 affordable homeownership units in Roxbury, a six-month extension for ILYB LLC's Nubian Square performing arts project — with a firm warning that no further extensions will follow if financing and permits are not secured — a nine-month extension for Eco Homes Highland Park LLC's 20-unit Roxbury project, and a $250,000 tentative designation for GenWealth Development LLC for six new homeownership units at 34 Eccles Street in Dorchester, a parcel that has sat vacant in city inventory for 6.5 years.
