Boston Panel Approves $200,000 Extension for Quincy Upper School OPM Contract

BOSTON — May 21, 2025 — Boston's Public Facilities Commission unanimously approved a $200,000 contract amendment for the Josiah Quincy Upper School project at its May 21 meeting. The amendment, the sixth modification to the owner's project manager contract with Skanska USA Building Inc., extends the agreement through September 1, 2025. Project Manager Taisha Walton introduced the request, and presenter Vicki Schiffhiel told commissioners the additional funds will cover extra personnel for punch list supervision, final commissioning, and preparation for a Massachusetts School Building Authority final audit at the school, located at 900 Washington Street in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood. The City's Office of Budget Management had already signed off on the expenditure. The commission also approved May 1 meeting minutes 7-0 before taking up the contract vote.
